So Thankful.....

I really do love Thanksgiving! I feel that it is always rushed.... everyone can't wait for Christmas! Yes, Christmas is very exciting, but we've got to be Thankful first. :) I am so thankful for my 2 beautiful boys and a wonderful, loving, hard working Husband. I am so thankful for the jobs we have and the money we do recieve. I am so thankful for the Gospel in my life and for the knowledge I do have of the Savior and our Father in Heaven. I am so thankful for our beautiful house we have to live in and for friends who listen and care.
I am also thankful for the small things like how the sellers of our house left drapes on the windows.
.... and thankful for the swing set they left for us to enjoy (or left so they didn't have to move it)

I am thankful for a backyard that my kids can run, play and explore in.

I am thankful for technology

...... and a playroom for my boys to play in.

I am thankful for neices and nephews and that I got to have one of them stay with us for a night, bringing her PS with her. My boys loved it, but I know I don't want to buy one, cuz I wouldn't be able to get them off of it!

I am thankful for times like these, when I find my kids doing cute things. You think you're going to be a rock star Tyson? :)
I am thankful for the mind of a 3 almost 4 year old when he (Brayden) says things like, "I broke my ear, it's broken!" when he had an ear infection. Or when he saw snow for the first time this year, saying, "See, it's time for Christmas now!" Or hearing one of the Apostles talk about the Holy Ghost, saying, "Holy Ghost.... scarey!"
There is so much to be thankful for in our lives! Are we focusing on all the bad things that happen or the things we don't have? Even if you don't have a house, a job, children, an education(decided not to take that route), a bed set (which I want, but may not get for a while). All we need to do is do the best we can and be grateful for what we do have. I know all of you can name 100 things you are grateful for! We might have some of the same things to be grateful for or different things. We all succeed in different ways and we all have different gifts and talents to be grateful for. I am so grateful for music and the ability I have to sing. There is so much to be thankful for, it's hard to name them all! I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and please remember to be thankful! :)

Kitty George

We got a kitty a few weeks ago, and we love him!
A nurse I work with had said they were trying to get rid of one more cat, so we took him. I didn't know for sure if I was ready for a pet so soon after we moved, but we decided to go for it.
This is his new favorite place to be.
He started falling asleep up there once and almost fell off!
Brayden just loves the kitty.
He is the one who officially named him Kitty George, after Curious George. First he wanted to name him Superman. I liked Kitty George :)
The kitty is mostly an indoor cat, but lives in the garage. His litter box, food, and bed are in there, but he spends alot of time in the house. We just take him out every few hours, and he hasn't ever had an accident! He even meows when he needs to go out and when he wants back in. What a good kitty!
Tyson always wants to hold Kitty George, but Kitty George doesn't always want to be held! (by him at least) We have to remind him (and Brayden) to be nice to the kitty.
Enjoying the moment
Kitty George is trying to get you!
Asleep at last.....

My favorite is to snuggle with him when my kids are asleep. He is so cute! One time he was all up in my hair purring and licking it. I just thought, "Yes, Kitty I am your Momma" I know, cheezy :) It has been so fun having him around.

Halloween/ B-day party

The Saturday before Halloween was Tyson's 2nd B-day!!! We had a party with our family. We missed you Holly
Me and Joann (sis. in law)

Tyson and his cousin Jake are 5 days apart so we celebrate their B-days together :)

Buzz and Superman save the day!!
Birthday boys opening presents
Oooo, a motorcycle from Grandma.

And.......

Poor Tyson cut his chin open last week. I was ready to take him in to get stiches, but Brent said it wasn't that bad. It did stop bleeding, plus he had a well child care check up the next day, so we decided to wait. The Doc. said he could have used a couple stiches, but wasn't too concerned. It had already started to heal itself, and he said you can only get stiches up until 24 hrs after the accident. If it was on his face, other than his chin I would have took him in.
Now, we just have to make sure it stays clean and try and keep a bandaide on it. That's a joke. what 2 year old is going to keep a band aide on? So a few days later, he bumped it and broke it open again. Now we make sure he has a band aide on it and get mad at him if he takes it off. he is doing pretty good to keep it on now :)
