I ran in the Ragnar Relay (Wasatch Back) last month. Running from Logan to Park City, with a team of 12 people. A total of 188 miles! I was runner #7, which had easier runs. My runs were about 4 miles a piece and I ran that 3 times. My 1st run was at 1:00 pm Friday, 2nd run 10pm that night, then the 3rd was the next morning around 9am. There are 2 vans and while the other van is running, we get to rest/eat, then we swap. While runners from our van is running we pace them and switch runners at the exchanges. So even tho I ran my 2nd run at 10pm we didn't get to actually sleep until 5 in the morning, when all our runners were done running. That was the hardest part of it all, because I was my sickest then, being pregnant and all. It was tough! we got 2 1/2 hrs. of sleep, then had to get up and run again! I did get to rest in the van, while the others were running, but didn't get much sleep.
14 weeks pregnant!
I did it!!
Exchanging the slap braclet, you run with. I'm starting my last run here.
Finishing my last run strong! I passed that girl up and I heard her sprinting behind me! Intense moment :) I had the slap braclet out and ready to pass off.
My sister Alisha and I. I was on her team with the people she works with.
Finished my first run and passed off here.
2nd van peeps!
Sporting our Ragnar tattoos. We are so strong! Not! Where's my bicep? I better work on that :)
Our whole team: Strip Tease. They work at South Davis hospital and the "strip" represents the lines you see on a heart monitor :) Very creative, but when you hear what our team name is, it's like, what?
Saturday morning. Our van getting ready to head out. We got to stay at a persons house for a few ours, so that was nice!
