Happy New Year!
It has been a busy, crazy past couple of weeks! We had a pretty good holiday season. We spent Christmas Eve and New Years Eve at Brent's parents house. Ate lots of good food and attempted to play games. It's always an adventure with kids around. We have to stop every minute to take care of them.
Christmas day we enjoyed being home and playing with the kids and their new toys. Brayden got a basketball hoop and loves it. We also got Tyson a small one. I finally got a digital camera that I have wanted for a long time! I just have to figure out how to use it better, and get the pictures on here.
The day after Christmas we spent it with my parents and family. We got to go sledding, but it was still really powdery because of the storm the day before. We got alot of snow in our face! The kids were done just after one small hill, so we took them back to the house while the grown ups went to the big hills. We only went down a couple times, it was a major workout just to get to the top. I will post more pics once I figure out how to get them on here from my camera :)

Cute kids, walking around together!
I love this pic of Brayden having fun with the leaves. He turned 3 Dec. 19th! Happy B-day Brayd!
I'm a big boy now!
Chug! Chug! Chug! No, there was nothing in it, he was just enjoying the last drips :)
So sleepy
The last ride before the snow fell.Lastly, I just wanted to let everyone know that I finally decided to get an MRI done. I hate talking about myself, so I don't very often. Some of you know I have had back and neck problems for a while. I've tried a Chiropractor for 6 months. My x-rays show that my spine is a little curved and my neck is straight, it doesn't have the natural curve, which puts alot of pressure on the base of my neck. I went to back specialists and physical therapy. I kept doing the excersizes and streches, but nothing seemed to help. The back specialist said the next step was to get an MRI. I did that a couple days before Christmas. the MRI showed that I have 3 bulging discs in my neck, which didn't show in my x-rays. So then I got an epidural injection in my neck to help with the pain. I did that the last day of December, so hopefully our insurance will cover most of it. Fun huh? I just can't beleive I have problems so young, it sucks but what else can I do? I also have muscle spasms in my back that pinch all the time. I have been trying muscle relaxants at night and they seem to help. I just have to deal with it and do my best to stay healthy. I just have to think other people have it way worse! I guess we all have our trials in life and this is one of mine. I just hate it that my back and neck hurts with daily activities like changing a diaper, cleaning, housework, srapbooking and even being on this computer for a long time, and most of all being pregnant. It kills when I'm pregnant. Thank goodness I don't have to worry about that for a couple years!
One more thing, I got a new calling in my ward. I am the new Enrichment leader. the lady that got released was amazing! She always made Enrichment night so great. I know I won't be able to do as good as job as she has done, but I will do my best. Thanks Kim for all you have done! you will be getting plenty of phone calls from me for help. Hope you all had wonderful holidays!

Family Update
Hello friends and family! Here's a little bit about us and what we've been up to:
Brent, works at RR Donnelley, a printing press company. He has been there for about 6 yrs. He runs the machines there. He doesn't absolutely love it, but it pays the bills :) He is busy working 12 hr. shifts, graveyard, but will be switching to 8 hr. shifts next year. He will still be on a graveyard shift, but hopefully he will get more sleep! He also watches the kids in the morning while I go to work. He is a very supportive husband and father, and I love him so much!
He loves to play basketball, and is looking forward to church ball when he can play more.
Kara, works part-time at Spring Creek, as a special ed. aide. This is my 5th yr. here, and I absolutely love it! I enjoy seeing the student's progress over the school year, and it is so fun to get to know them :) I also am very busy with two little boys, and try to keep up with church callings, blogging, scrapbooking and the daily chores and errands. I am on the Enrichment committee, and in charge of Activity Days with the 8-12 yr. old girls in my ward. I also love to read, and wish I had more time to do so.
Brayden, is turning 3 in less than a week! He learned to be potty trained this year, and is now sleeping without a pull-up! He kept waking up dry for 3 weeks straight, so we decided to go for it, and he is doing really well. Only one accident, in the past two weeks. He knows all his letters and is still learning colors and shapes. He loves the t.v shows: Super Why, Word World, Clifford and Curious George, and now he can't get enough of Thomas the Train. He loves playing computer games on PBS Kids, and would all day if I let him.
Tyson, is just over a yr. old and is walking around! He says a few words: momma, dadda, no, uh oh, please and thank you. He loves to mimic sounds and loves music. If he hears any on the t.v. or radio he will start swaying back and forth. He will even dance to the commercials :) He loves his brother and wants to be wherever he is. He is such a sweet little boy and is growing so fast!
We hope you all have a wonderful holiday season. Merry Christmas and have a very happy new year!

Birthday Weekend!
I officially turned 25 on Saturday! I know, I'm old. A quarter of a century! (When I put it like that, I sound really old.) I had a pretty good day. Friday, I went out with some work friends for lunch at Village Inn and got free pie. Yummy!
Saturday I worked at Sports Academy in the morning, then we got my parents to watch the kids later. We did the traditional dinner and a movie. We were going to eat at Hamiltons, but it was a 2 hr. wait, so we ate at Wingers. Then we went to the movie "Momma Mia" Brent told me I could choose, and I was thinking Twilight, but knew Brent wouldn't have liked it. I had no idea he would hate Momma Mia. He has seen musicals before and hasn't minded them, but this one, of course, was different. He even told me he would have rather seen Twilight! He said he liked Moulin Rouge much better than Momma Mia, and he didn't even like Moulin Rouge! I loved the music, but the movie wasn't that great. Owell, it was fun anyway, being together and laughing about how dumb the movie was throughout it.

Twilight and Thanksgiving!
Hello my friends. So what did everybody think of Twilight? Just curious :) I went to see it with a group of friends and sister-in-laws, Saturday the day after it opened. It was a lot of fun! I was so excited I couldn't sleep good Friday night! It felt like Christmas! I know I'm weird. A few of us even took a picture by the poster outside. It was awesome! I will have to post it when I get it from my friend.
The movie was good and all but it wasn't great. I thought the acting wasn't very good and Jake was cuter in my mind than he was in the movie and his "friends" (wolf bros) too. Edward was also cuter in my mind, but they did an okay job with him and Bella. I just feel like Bella didn't show alot of emotion, she seemed boring, but I guess that is how she is?
Well, the next movies should be better, now that they will be working with a company, instead of doing it independent. I just love the books! I can't handle it! I swear these are the best books I have ever read! She could totally expand and write another one. If she doesn't then I will!
In my book I would have a fight between Jake and Nahuel for Renesme, then somehow the Volturi decides to fight them and it would be a close one, but the Cullens would win and kill the Volturi totally off, and they would be the new followers and they would take care of the Vampires that break the rules. How cool would that be? okay sorry if you haven't read all the books and I gave too much info! I just can't stop talking about it!
Okay, Thanksgiving! we really didn't have much of a Thanksgiving this year. Brayden woke up with a high fever so I stayed home with him :( Brent and Tyson went over to be with his family and brought us back food. The next morning he still had a fever, but then went down by the afternoon. Everyone at Brent's still wanted us to come over so we went and ate food and played games. So at least we did that :) Then the next day Tyson was throwing up and had a fever too! So it has been a fun week! Now they both just have the cough and stuffy, runny noses. They also have a hard time sleeping. Last night was the first night I didn't have to wake up to take care of one of them! yeah! I am suprized I haven't got sick yet. My immune system rocks! Brent started getting a cold yesterday, bummer.
So Thanksgiving has past, even though I didn't have a blast. I look forward to next year when we will hopefully be there! :) (I felt like rhyming)
To end, I just want everyone to know how thankful I am to have such good friends as you! I am so thankful for a wonderful husband who puts up with my craziness, and for two beautiful little boys who add to the craziness :)

Brayden's Top 10 Funnies
I was looking back at Brayden's journal and thought I'd write about a few of his funny sayings.
- Last year when we were at stake conference there was this little boy with a pirate's of the carribean action figure. Brayden pointed at the beard and said "Ho, Ho. Ho" He thought anyone with a beard was Santa Clause, even if their beard wasn't white!
- Brayden has a Spiderman placemat and he dropped food on it and said, "Get choo, maman"
- He used to say the letter 'W' "Ubbledew"
- He used to call Tysons bottle, "a bottom"
- One time I was helping him pull up his pants after going to the bathroom and he pointed at my shirt and said, "A shirt, a bum" because he saw down my shirt and thought it looked like a bum! Ha Ha (this one is one of my favorites! He probably saw a little bum, that's all I can say!)
- Now, whenever he goes poo in the toilet he looks at it and says, "Snakes in there!" (another one of my favorites :))
- There was a time when Brayden and Tyson kept screaming back and forth. I kept telling them to stop! finally I went over to them and gave each of them a 'flick' on the mouth. Tyson just pouted and let out a small cry. Brayden got really mad and screamed at me, then he went over to Tyson and said, "Mommy hurt you, I'm sorry" and gave him a hug. I just had to laugh.
- Speaking of 'flicks': One time I was telling Brayden something that he didn't want to do and he came up to me and asked, "Wanna flick?" and came at me with his fingers. (Smart Alec!)
- Brayden is a teaser, and does anything for a laugh. whenever he put on his Bee costume for Halloween he said, "Oh no, bee get you, bee on me, oh no!"
- Lastly, one time Brayden farted and said, "a burp in there" pointing at his bum.
If you want to play the game, try to name 10 things your child/children or any other member of your family has done or said, just for laughs :)

Halloween Party
Halloween!
We had a Halloween party with some friends a week before Halloween. I was suppose to be Lois Lane, but it didn't really work out because Brent didn't want to dress up as Clark Kent. I even got him glasses that he wouldn't wear (party pooper!) I also cut and dyed my hair. Mainly because I wanted a change, but I thought Halloween would be a perfect excuse :)
Halloween day I took the kids to the mall to trick or treat at the stores with some neighbors and friends. Then we went over to Adam and Joanns' (Brent's brother and wife) and took the kids trick or treating. Brayden was so funny. When he saw the pumpkin that looked like it was throwing up he said "uh oh, coughing" I guess he doesn't know the word throw up yet :)
There was this house that had a strobe light, and Brayden said, "No, not that one!" (He was scared of the lights). There was a bowl of candy on the porch so I said I would go get him one. I started walking up to the house and Brayden said, "No, Mommy, No!" I told him it was okay, and I even did a little dance in the light. When we were walking away, Brayden pointed at the strobe light and said, "My Mommy!" Like he was telling it off, and like the strobe light got me :) We just laughed.
Lastly, we celebrated the boys' B-days. Tyson is 5 days older than his cousin Jake. They had a fun time, especially with the cake!
