Today is Brent's B-day! Happy B-day Brent! He is 27 now and still looks like he could be 18! We are going out for dinner tonight while my Mom watches the kids. Then we will have some cake and ice cream with the kiddies.
We Celebrated the 24th in Mendon, like we do every year. I ran the 10k Saturday morning and got 3rd place in my age group! Technically I got 2nd, because the girl who was first got 1st over all, so she doesn't count right? I got a free cheese burger and drink. Woo hoo! even though I didn't feel like it till way later. I didn't feel like eating much that day. because I felt sick after the race. I'm still trying to recover. I pushed myself pretty hard!
Brent played in a Basketball tournament earlier in the week and their team got 2nd place. He had alot of fun. We also tried to play in the Volleyball tournament Saturday, but they already had enough teams. We were subs, but nobody ever wanted a sub. Owell, we got next year :) Brent also played in the horse shoe tournament with his brothers while Me and Joann (sis.-in-law) took the older kids around on the fun bouncy slides and toys. Brayden also got to ride a pony. :)
We enjoyed parades and fireworks for the 24th and I attempted to take the kids to the Aquatic center Friday, all by myself, and I did it! The first thing Brayden wanted to do is go down the water slide. I could only go down with one of them so Brayden ended up going down all by himself. (he was barely tall enough) I told him I would be right after him and that the lady would catch him at the bottom and sent him on his way. He looked back at me all worried because he thought I was going to go with him. I saw him after the first bend still turning to look at me all worried, then I saw him down the next bend and he was on his stomach going head first! uh oh! I don't know how he got into that position. I felt so bad for him, because I knew he was scared, but I couldn't stop laughing. He wouldn't stop crying and talked about it for a long time after. He didn't want to swim after that. He ran away from me and headed for the car. he wanted to go home! After I chased him down with Tyson in my arms he sat in a chair and watched me and Tyson play in the water until he was ready to come in. When he did and got comfortable in the water he didn't want to leave. We stayed there for 2 hrs! I'm glad I stuck it out and had a fun time with my boys :)

Green River Trip!
We went to the Green River the weekend of July 16-19th with my family. We took Brayden with us, and Tyson stayed with my in-laws. We had alot of fun, even though it was so stinkin hot! We rented a raft and my Bro.-in-law gave us rides after rides on the river. We also floated the river. It was fun, but not so fun hitting rocks! ouch! And the horse flies were terrible! they kept biting us and they hurt.
Story:
One night, when I was braiding my nieces hair I kept hearing this bussing/hissing sound. I look around, didn't see anything. Kept braiding and I heard it again. It sounded way close. there was alot of bugs around especially since it was dark and we had the propane light on. So, when I heard it again I look down and I saw a huge- A- brother Beetle/Cock Rotch thing on my shirt! I freaked out, said a bad word as I jumped up and tried to swipe it away. I swiped and it didn't move! It was stuck on my shirt! Then I really freaked out and swiped it some more until it unlatched itself, then I felt wetness on my shirt! Sick and wrong! that beetle/cock rotch thing either was trying to hurt me with his juices or he peed on me! It was so freaky. I hate bugs! It was fun catching a lizard though :)
Any way here are a lot of pics from that weekend. the words might not go with the pics, but I'm sure you'll figure it out. I don't know why it goes all weird when I post it. Owell
Brayden never wanted to swim, all he wanted to do is pick up clumps of sand and throw them in the river! Whatever keeps him happy right?

July Fun
A few pics from the 3rd of July.
The past couple years we have spent the 3rd in our parking lot to have a BBQ with neighbors and friends, then watch the fireworks from the stadium. We are only a few blocks down and we have a great view. I love that we don't have to drive anywhere!
Brayden is still afraid of the fireworks, so he spent most of the night like this. I don't necessarily think it's the fireworks; it's the loud noise they make. He is very sensitive to noises. Even a car alarm or a horn freaks him out!

Last Game
We had alot of fun watching Brayden play Tee ball this year. Most days it was more of a battle to get him to play than fun. The last 2 games he loved it. I guess he just needed to learn the game. And he had to decide that he wanted to play, instead of Mom and Dad making him play :) We found out the hard way and now think he was too young to start playing, but we got some good pictures out of it :)
The Team!
We actually never did come up with a team name, but I would call them different things every time like: Wild Cats, Thunder Cats, Green machines, just random stuff.
I was so excited that we were on a team with Brayden's friends, Owen and Chloe. They love to be silly together :) And I loved that my friend Delia was the Coach. Great job Delia!
