It has been a very eventful week for us! I was working in the Kids Klub at the Sports Academy, (like I do once a week for a family membership) and my 3 yr. old Tyson was playing upstairs with some other kids and workers. I was down stairs with the babies. I was very suprized when one of the workers brought Tyson down to me and blood was soaking his shirt, running down his head and neck! I rushed him to the bathroom and got paper towels. Blood was soaking through the paper towels onto my hands. Other workers got a towel for me, that towel was soaked in seconds! Then I was rushing to the ER. I couldn't see how bad the wound was because of all the blood. Tyson was so brave and had stopped crying by the time we got in the car. We got to the ER, by then, the bleeding had stopped, thank goodness! He needed 3 staples. I had to apply local anesthetic for about a 1/2 hr. to make sure the area was somewhat numb. Tyson only said "Ow" a few times, when I had to hold a cotton ball to his head with the meds, and of course, when he got the staples, but that was it.
The story on how it happened: The Sports Academy had their yearly, opening pool party the previous weekend and they had a bounce house for the kids. They had rolled that up and stored it upstairs, where the kids play. Heather, the boss of the Kids Klub, had told the manager to take care of it, cuz it wasn't safe for the kids. Of course the kids are going to play on it. I don't know what the workers were doing up there before it happened, but all I know is that Tyson was playing on that, fell and hit his head either on the edge of it or on a pole next to it. The ER visit was billed to my insurance, but then I talked to Heather, boss of Kids Klub, and asked if I could bill Sports Academy, so we didn't have to pay for it, because it was their fault for having that upstairs where the kids play! I talked to the manager and so did Heather, and they said they couldn't do anything about it, which I thought was really dumb. I would understand if he hit his head on a table that is always in the kids klub, but it was something they should have taken care of and was unsafe for the kids. An accident is an accident, so they wouldn't pay for it. Owell, atleast my kid is okay.
Thursay was my last day of work! (until summer school) it will be so nice to have that break, catch up on things and spend more time with my kids and hubby.
Brayden started summer school last Monday! He is in this free, Kindergarten readiness, summer program, where he will be attending Kindergarten. It is so nice and he loves it!
Here are some of the aides, teacher and nurses I work with. I would post pics of me and the kids, but I would get in trouble for confidentiality reasons. I just put them in my own photo book of memories :)
My boys also started T-ball Thursday, they will play for 5 weeks. They love it! Yes, my week has been full of lots of fun and crazy things!

I'm glad Tyson is okay! You guys have been busy. T-ball sounds like it will be fun, I should have signed my boys up.
Ouch! Glad he's okay. Yeah...you would think workman's comp would cover the bill. Maybe it doesn't for your kids? Sorry about that!
