last year, Brayden was Superman. I was a pumpkin. (I thought that was perfect, because I had that extra weight!) I just bought a cheap mask for Brent, since he hates to dress up, and Tyson was .............. Can you guess? Drum roll ............, a deer hunter. He was only a week old! I had no idea when he would be born. His due date was Nov. 6th, So I didn't know if we would have him for Halloween. I went to Wallmart a couple days before Halloween and couldn't find anything! Not even those cute halloween onsies. All I found was a new born camoflauge sweater, and I thought, okay a hunter :)

Happy Birthday Tyson!
I can't believe Tyson is a year old! That year went by fast! His birthday was yesterday. We just celebrated with our little family. I made stuffed french bread pizza for dinner. Then we had Tyson open his present. It wasn't really wrapped, but He had fun playing on it. It is a bigger car seat! wa hoo! Then we sang Happy Birthday and had cake and ice cream :) Of course, he loved the cake!
We are having a Halloween part Monday with my family, so we will celebrate then with them, and we are going to My in-laws for Halloween. Tyson has a cousin that was born 5 days after him, so my sister in-law is going to get a cake with both of there names on it. So we will have another little part then :) I bet we will always have a Halloween/Birthday Party in one, since his birthday is so close to Halloween.

What we've been up to
Top of Utah 5k run
Running to the finish line!
Water show in Salt Lake, at the Gateway Mall

huge puddle in our parking lot. The kids loved
riding through it. That drain needs to be fixed!
It's a bugger in the winter

Uh Oh, who's got mommy's lip gloss?
Katie, have been going for walks to lose those extra pounds!
Also just for fun :)
her baby! We went for a walk and they both crashed

Tyson cheesin' it. Always so happy after a nap.
Now that Brayden doesn't like Bees (wasps) he thinks it's fun to hit them with sticks. I tell him over and over not to hit them with sticks! Just Wednesday, him and his friend Chloe ran to us screaming! I knew right away he got stung. When I got to him, there was one sitting on the top of his head, and 3 that were on his back! I started swatting at them, to get them off, and then was ripping his clothes off. I noticed he got stung 5x! Chloe got stung twice and so did Katie, (Chloe's mom) She ran away with Chloe and the wasps followed. I'm suprised they didn't get me, because I was hitting the crap out of them! Stupid Wasps! I actually got stung this summer too and it hurts like you know what! The land lords better get rid of that nest or I'm going to freak out! Oh, wait I already am freaking out :)
Tyson loves Daddy's wiskers

It stung him on the leg first and then flew up his shorts and
got his bum! He was so sad. Thanks to the neighbors
that helped!

Family Pictures
Last Saturday we took pictures at my in-laws. Brent complained and had asked me if we were going to take a family picture every season for this blog, and I said "yep". He hates pictures, but is willing to do it, if that's what makes me happy :)
5 yrs. and 2 kids later, and we still
look happy :)
Cute little boys!

Weekend in Salt Lake
We actually got to stay last weekend in Salt Lake without the kids! We haven't done that in forever! (Before Tyson was born and he is almost a year!)
On our way down friday, we stopped in Ogden and shopped at Target (love that place) I always find good stuff there.
We stayed at the Radisson Hotel and ate lots of good food from their restaurant.
We shopped at the Gateway. I love the water show! I could sit there for hours and watch it, especially when they play the music with it. After a while Brent was getting bored. I also loved watching the kids play in it, and I thought 'Brayden would love this!' We will have to go with him next time.
We went to the Imax theatre, that was so cool! I haven't seen a 3D movie since I was a little kid. I even tried to grab stuff just for fun. We had a good time.

5k Run!
I ran the Top of Utah 5k run this morning! It was only 3 miles, but still hard. I ran it in 28 min. and 14 sec. On the tredmill I can run it in 26 min. This run had a couple hills. The first woman ran it in 18 min. and the last was almost an hour! So I think I did pretty good :)
I hope I can make this a regular challenge every fall. I guess it depends on when we have more kids, but I still want to try.
There was this woman that ran it and she looked about 6 months pregnant! I don't think I could do that!
My Mom, Dad and Trish came to support me, and Brent came with the kids. He did take a couple pictures, so I will have to post those later, unless I look too freaky! Brayden thought it was pretty cool that I ran. He kept saying, "mommy run".
When we watched the olympic runners on T.V. he would say "get em, get em, get em, run run run!" So I wonder if he said that, I will have to ask Brent :)

Memories
I have seen this on other blogs and thought it would be fun:
- As a comment, write one memory you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or alot. Anything you remember.
- Re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's really fun to see the responses!
- If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll write a memory on your blog :) If you don't have a blog, I'll write a memory about you through e-mail or Facebook.
Hope you play! Happy memories!
Family Fun
- We had a family get together for my side of the family, at the end of August. My sister had taken pictures, so I was waiting for them, but then I decided I would write about it and post pictures later :)
- The plan was to stay the weekend at my parents' and sleep in the backyard in tents. Since we live so close, we had the option of going home to sleep in our own beds :)
- Thursday night Brayden slept in a tent with Grandpa and Brayden's cousin, Ike. Brayden was scared at first, because it was "gark" outside. Once he was in the tent, he loved it! Brent had to work, and I went home with Tyson. My dad said it took them a while to fall asleep, but then they slept the whole night and woke up at 6:30 am. (Early for Brayden, but they had fun)
- Friday the kids enjoyed playing outside in the water. My mom got a tarp and nailed it down a grassy hill in the backyard. The kids loved it! Brayden mostly liked to spray the hose. he was scared to go down the hill. I tried it, but it wasn't that fun for me. My big thigh got stuck on the tarp and chafed it! (I didn't go down a second time) I also threw Brayden and Tyson down. They didn't like that too much either (Okay, not threw, but pushed them down) :)
- Friday night we watched 'The Bee Movie' outside on a projector, on the back of the house. My brother in-law made a screen with a sheet. (Good job Troy!) It turned out really good :) That was so fun!
- That night Brent and Bryce (brother in-law) Went to see the midnight showing of 'The Dark Night' (Batman) we have already seen it, but Brent loves it. He said he wants to go a few times before it's out of the theatres. Me and Alisha (sister) went back to our place to sleep with the kids. My other sisters and their husbands, and kids slept outside in the tents, at my parents'.
- Saturday we all went to the Aquatic Center and swam. It was alot of fun. Brayden loved going down the slide and Tyson splashed in the shallow end.
- That night we had a dutch oven dinner and desert. we played fun games with the kids, and played ultimate frisbie with the adults. The guys enjoyed shooting arrows from a bow, and hitting a target. (thanks Bryce)
- We had a fun weekend. My mom said this will start a family tradition, but we will see. We always say we are going to plan family traditions, but it never happens. I hope it follows through and becomes one! :)

Mom to the Resque!
Okay, I decided I will write more often, even if I don't have the pictures to show right away. I will post those later, when I get them :)
Last Sunday we went up the canyon and roasted marshmellows with Adam and Joann, and their kids. (Brent's Brother) Brayden was scared at first, because there was a shooting range close by. He didn't like the loud noises of the guns. Once that was over he started to play. He and his cousin Dylan liked throwing rocks in the river. The babies played in the play pen.
The river kind of scared me, because the kids would get pretty close. Brayden was being very cautious. He bent over to pick up a rock, and Dylan pushed him in! Dylan is younger, about 8 months younger than Brayden. We were all standing pretty close, I was the closest, and I was holding Tyson at the time. I could see it happen before it happened! I got to him as soon as I could, and as he was going in I grabbed his free arm before he went all the way under! That was a close one! I can't beleive I grabbed him with one arm, as I was holding Tyson! I still don't know how I did that, I just did it. When your child's safety is at risk it just happens. I guess I have good reflexes :) We got him into dry clothes and we sat by the fire. He was freezing, but warmed up quickly. That was a crazy experience!
